Charlottesville Fall Mini-Sessions

Oh my goodness! This weekend full of photoshoots made me fall in love with mini-sessions all over again! I always love the spontaneity of mini-sessions; with such a short time frame, they are fast-paced, and there is lots of "rolling with the punches," especially when young kids are involved. But I also loved these mini-sessions in particular for the people I got to meet. For some reason, I am always hesitant to advertise in places other than my facebook and instagram accounts; I don't want to be that person who is always trying to sell something instead of making real connections just for the sake of friendship. However, when my husband and I were planning out mini-session dates, he encouraged me to advertise within an online community of C'ville moms, and I am SO, SO glad I took his advice. It was so wonderful to meet all of these amazing families with whom my path might not have otherwise crossed. Each family was so unique, yet with each one, I almost always discovered some common ground, mutual friend, or shared interest. Despite the busy pace and long hours of shooting and editing, I truly found the whole process to be so life-giving. To each of these lovely families: Thank you so much for making this mini-session weekend a success on so many levels! It was a joy to meet you and capture these precious, fleeting moments in time with the people you love most.
